RP Employees of the Month
The July Employee of the Month goes out to three of our roaming personnel. Nominated were Eric Meese, Scott Bicksler, and Tony Williams. They put in long hours while working on our Georgia properties to ensure move-in deadlines were met. This included full days on Saturday and Sunday as well as late hours during the week.
It is this kind of dedication that gives RP an excellent reputation and deserves rewarding.

The September Employee of the Month was Theodore Auman from Suburban Park Apartments. He has worked consecutive days by himself maintaining all work orders, filter changes, and turns. Theodore continues to have a positive attitude and has been with RP for only 65 days! Way to Go Theodore!

Hickory Trace Aids Hurricane Katrina Victims
Many of the Katrina Hurricane victims have found refuge in Nashville, TN, but many are still without housing or employment. Hickory Trace Apartments has decided to do our part to help with the overwhelming need for housing.

The program that is in place is through Mid-Cumberland Services, an agency that represents FEMA. This program allows the family to move into the apartment and put the lease in their name, but FEMA will pay the rent for 12 months. Because it is difficult to verify rental and employment for these families, we complete an application and run credit and criminal checks only. To assist FEMA with the process, we have waived the application fees, deposits, and move-in pro-rates.

The program has been beneficial thus far; to date we have already provided housing for 2 families, for a total of 9 apartments and the calls are still coming in. Our goal is to provide a total of 15 apartments to assist with the housing needs Katrina has caused.

9th Annual Company Picnic Held – Team RP
On a hot Saturday in early September, RP Management held its Annual Company picnic at Buchmiller Park in Lancaster, PA. Over 50 employees, friends, and relatives attended what turned out to be a fun event for all. The Home Office staff arranged activities including a trivia quiz, guessing games, prize raffles, softball for the kids and, for the first time, a company-wide bake-off (won by Sandy Sweeney from York Hills). Our theme this year was “Team RP” and we had awesome Nascar-modeled shirts as a give-away. Lorinda Meyers gets special notice for traveling all the way from Nashville for the event.
